Le Cyclope

The Cyclops by Euripides is the only remaining monument of an intermediate genre, between tragedy and comedy and called Satyr drama by the Greeks. The subject is taken from the Odyssey of Homer. It is Ulysses who was locked in the lair of Polyphemus and intoxicated the Cyclops to deprive him of his sight to escape from his power.
