1. OVERVIEW
Designed specifically for children aged 4 to 5, this multi-arts ensemble offers a joyful first encounter with the performing arts. Through theatre, improvisation, music, dance, movement, and creative play, children discover different artistic languages while developing confidence, curiosity, and a love for artistic expression.
Rather than specialising in a single discipline, each session combines a variety of creative experiences adapted to the children's attention span and developmental stage. Through stories, games, music, movement, and imagination, participants explore emotions, body awareness, rhythm, collaboration, and communication in a safe and playful environment.
At this age, the priority is not artistic performance but the development of essential human and social skills. The program encourages children to express themselves freely, interact with others, build confidence, discover their creativity, and experience the joy of creating together.
2. OBJECTIVES
Throughout the season, children discover the foundations of the performing arts by experimenting with theatre, improvisation, music, dance, storytelling, movement, rhythm, and creative play. They progressively develop body awareness, imagination, listening skills, coordination, emotional expression, language, confidence, and their ability to collaborate with others.
The program focuses on nurturing curiosity rather than technical mastery. By exploring different artistic disciplines, children gain confidence expressing themselves, become comfortable performing in front of others, and develop the social and emotional skills that form the foundation of future artistic learning.
The season culminates in the creation of a short collective film, presented during the P.A.S. Festival. Rather than performing a traditional stage production, children participate in a playful audiovisual project that celebrates their creativity while providing a gentle and age-appropriate first experience of sharing their artistic work with families and audiences.
3. DISCIPLINE SUMMARY
The Performing Arts as a Playground for Discovery
For young children, the performing arts are first and foremost a space to explore, imagine, move, and express themselves freely. By combining theatre, improvisation, music, and dance, children discover multiple ways of communicating while developing confidence, curiosity, and creativity.
Each artistic discipline nourishes the others: movement inspires storytelling, music stimulates emotions, improvisation encourages imagination, and theatre brings everything together through play and collective creation. Rather than focusing on technique, the program values experimentation, exploration, and the pleasure of creating together.

5. VALUES OF PERFORMING ARTS
Early childhood is a unique period for developing imagination, confidence, communication, and emotional intelligence. Introducing children to multiple artistic disciplines allows them to explore the world through play while discovering different ways of expressing themselves.
Rather than training future actors, dancers, or musicians, this program aims to cultivate curious, confident, creative, and empathetic individuals. The performing arts become a powerful tool for personal development, helping children build essential skills that will support them throughout their lives, whatever path they choose.
"Play is the highest form of research." - Albert Einstein
