1. OVERVIEW

This vocal ensemble welcomes adults who enjoy singing and wish to develop their voices through a collaborative musical experience. More than a class, it is an opportunity to rehearse, explore, and perform together while discovering the richness of harmony, vocal expression, and ensemble singing.

At the beginning of the season, the ensemble defines its artistic direction according to the participants' musical interests, ambitions, and vocal abilities. Together, the group builds a repertoire that may include contemporary music, world music, pop, jazz, musical theatre, traditional songs, or original vocal arrangements.

Throughout the season, participants explore vocal technique, breathing, musical interpretation, harmony, rhythm, body percussion, movement, and stage presence. Working as a vocal ensemble encourages every singer to develop their individual voice while learning to blend, listen, and contribute to a shared musical identity.

2. OBJECTIVES

Throughout the season, participants develop healthy vocal technique, breath control, harmony, ear training, rhythm, musical interpretation, and stage performance. They strengthen confidence, musicality, creativity, communication, and their ability to collaborate within a vocal ensemble while progressively becoming more autonomous singers.

The program also encourages participants to explore vocal arrangements, body percussion, movement, and expressive performance, discovering how individual voices combine to create a rich and dynamic collective sound.

The season culminates in one or more live performances, presented as part of the Winter Fest and the P.A.S. Festival. Depending on the ensemble's artistic project, participants may also contribute to original vocal arrangements or collaborative musical creations, experiencing the complete creative journey of a performing vocal ensemble.

3. DISCIPLINE SUMMARY

Music: Express Yourself and Perform

ATH music classes develop a complete musical experience, combining instrument or vocal practice,  improvisation, and ensemble performance. Students explore rhythm, melody, harmony, and creative expression while playing in groups, bands, or ensembles.

Music classes are designed for beginners and advanced students alike, and focus only on group learning, there are no private lessons included. Collaboration, listening, and community music-making are central to the practice.
